EDUCATION Adirondack Community College Louis Buck of Queensbury was appointed dean of the Center for Personal and Professional Development at the two-year college in Queensbury. Buck most recently served in a dual role as associate dean for development and executive director of the Adirondack Community College Foundation. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Kenneth Durgans was named vice provost for institute diversity at the Troy-based college. Previously, he was executive director for diversity development and adjunct professor of advanced educational psychology at Xavier University in Cincinnati. Russell Giambelluca was named assistant vice president for finance, financial planning and services beginning Oct. 1. He formerly was assistant vice chancellor/budgets at the University of California at Berkeley. Woodland Hill Montessori School Robert Fantauzzi was appointed business manager of the private school in North Greenbush that serves children ages 3 to 14. He was formerly director of finance with United Way of Northeastern New York. Hudson Valley Community College Sarah Boggess of East Greenbush was appointed vice president for institutional advancement at the two-year college in Troy. She has worked at the college since 1999 as director of communications and marketing. Capital District Educational Opportunity Center Carol Wilber of Scotia was promoted to associate professor of academics at the division of Hudson Valley Community College that provides tuition-free academic and vocational training to the economically and educationally disadvantaged. She joined EOC in 1990 and has taught a wide range of courses. Diana Edelman of Woodstock was promoted to assistant professor of academics with tenure. She has worked at EOC since 1994. Gail Shaw of Albany was promoted to assistant professor of academics with tenure. She has worked at EOC since 1998. FINANCIAL Loftus Ross LLP Heather Patten was promoted to accounting supervisor at the Queensbury-based accounting, tax planning and business advisory firm. She joined the company last year as a senior associate.

BST Advisory Network LLC Christopher Rosetti of Slingerlands was named a partner in BST Advisors LLC, a part of the Colonie network of consulting firms anchored by Bollam, Sheedy, Torani & Co. LLP CPAs. With senior BST partner Willard G. Reynolds, he will direct the firm's Forensic Accounting and Investigative Practice. Capital District Community Loan Fund Brandon Boyle was hired as a loan officer at the Albany-based community development financial institution. Formerly, he worked at Local 1199 of the Service Employees International Union. Waddell & Reed John Hollister was named a division manager in the Albany office of the Overland Park, Kan.-based financial services business. He formerly held senior management positions in bank investment programs at Sun Trust, Wells Fargo and Washington Mutual. MANUFACTURING Intermagnetics General Corp. Kathy Sheehan, general counsel at the Latham-based developer of superconducting magnets used in magnetic resonance imaging machines, was promoted to vice president. She has been with the company since 1996. HEALTH CARE Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital Edward Rytell of Waterford joined the Schenectady hospital as manager of the department of radiology. He formerly was a staff technologist for Seton Health/St. Mary's Hospital in Troy. Tommy Raus of Rensselaer was appointed a massage therapist. He previously provided massage therapy services at the Teresian House nursing home and St. Peter's Hospice, both in Albany. Capital District Physicians' Health Plan Inc. Douglas Savidge was named senior vice president of marketing and chief marketing officer at the Albany-based health insurer. Previously, he was senior vice president of sales, marketing, government programs and regulations for M-CARE in Ann Arbor, Mich. David Hopper was named vice president of technology initiatives. He formerly was an assistant vice president of management reporting at Continental Insurance. Christine Jimenez of Waterford was named manager of marketing support. She formerly managed the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., office of UnumProvident, a group disability insurance company. Phillip Crowson of Lansingburgh was named supervisor of the member services commercial unit. He formerly was a customer service supervisor at MapInfo Corp. Barbara Shields of Niskayuna was named manager of performance management. She formerly was director of improvement strategies for IPRO. Julie Valek of Albany was named supervisor of provider services. Previously, she was a provider services quality analyst at CDPHP. Jody Pomato of Burnt Hills was named supervisor of medical claims review. She joined CDPHP in 1999 as an internal auditor. Planned Parenthood Mohawk Hudson Inc. David Caso was appointed training coordinator of the newly established Institute for Training & Innovation at the Schenectady-based nonprofit provider of health care services. He has served as trainer/educator at the University at Albany and as instructor at the Archer Center for Student Leadership Development, which is located at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. MEDIA Redspring Communications Inc. Susan Czubek was named communications manager at the Saratoga Springs-based communications firm, which focuses on the health care industry. She has worked in public relations and printing. Laura de la Cruz was named an account manager. She formerly was involved in research and policy analysis at Policy Research Associates. Media Logic Beth Hensle was appointed a senior account executive for the Colonie marketing communication firm. She formerly was a senior account executive at Summit Marketing in Atlanta. Ketan Vakil was named a multimedia programmer. He formerly was a freelance consultant and designer for the Center for Economic Growth in Albany. PROFESSIONS Chas. H. Sells Inc. Bill Hall of Saratoga Springs joined the Saratoga Springs office. He retired from General Dynamics.

John Hitt of East Greenbush joined the East Greenbush sales team.

RETAIL Spector's Apparel Marc Goldfarb of Albany joined the men's clothing store at Colonie Center as sales manager.

SERVICES Insurance Design Alison Cooney of East Greenbush was appointed account manager of the insurance broker in Latham, where she will work with new employer groups and be responsible for service and sales of health, dental, life and disability insurance. Southern Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce Steve Ferone was promoted to membership manager. He formerly was member services coordinator.

Denise Romeo was appointed executive assistant at the membership-based business group. Formerly, she worked with the law office of Ianniello, Anderson & Reilly.

Harvey Huff was appointed to a part-time financial administrator position. He formerly worked in financial management at General Electric.

Liz Roggenbuck, formerly vice president of membership development, was named part-time manager of member services. Ann Carroll will manage marketing and events. She formerly was director of public affairs at the Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake. TELECOM Verizon Wireless Brad Churchill was named the wireless communications provider's district manager of communications stores sales for the eastern portion of upstate New York. Todd Danforth was named associate director of business sales for the region. Previously, he was district manager of Verizon Wireless' retail channel in the Albany/Poughkeepsie/Plattsburgh markets.
