Government listings focus on communities in Rensselaer and southern Saratoga counties, and police calls are taken from the actual police blotters from larger communities throughout the area. This feature usually appears on this page Mondays through Saturdays. ALBANY SATURDAY 12:25 a.m. GRAND LARCENY. A man, 26, from the 600 block of South Pearl Street, allegedly forcibly stole a pocketbook from a complainant. He was charged with grand larceny of a credit card and grand larceny of other property. Officer: John Fitzgerald. 1:13 a.m. DRUG CHARGE. A man, 39, from Morris Street, allegedly had cocaine and was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. 2:59 a.m. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF. A man, 32, from Boneau Street, allegedly kicked in a front door and remained inside. He also was charged with second-degree criminal trespass. Officer: Joseph Kosakowski.

3:40 a.m. DRUG CHARGE. A woman, 27, from the 100 block of Central Avenue, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officer: Michael Bintz.

4:14 a.m. DISORDERLY CONDUCT. A woman, 33, from Green Island, allegedly caused a crowd to gather as she was yelling and pushing another person. She also allegedly kicked, pushed and spit at arresting officers, resulting in the additional charge of resisting arrest. Officer: Robert Paone.

6:25 a.m. DRUG CHARGE. A man, 34, from the 100 block of Clinton Avenue, was allegedly in possession of crack cocaine. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest after he allegedly pushed an shoved arresting officers. Officer: Michael Nadorski.

8:30 a.m. ASSAULT. Someone reportedly punched a Mount Hope Drive woman in the face.

9 a.m. ASSAULT. A woman, 40, from the 100 block of Franklin Street, allegedly punched another person in the face.

11:40 a.m. HARASSMENT. Someone reportedly punched a resident at Clinton and Alexander streets after an argument. The complainant claimed not to know the subject.

12:22 p.m. UNLICENSED OPERATION. A woman, 31, from the 400 block of Bradford Street, also was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unregistered vehicle, and having improper plates. Officer: Frank Gallo.

3:21 p.m. PETIT LARCENY. A man, 51, from Pinewood Avenue, was accused of taking two packs of cigarettes. Officer: Kevin Moynihan.

4:35 p.m. CRIMINAL IMPERSONATION. A man, 32, from Nicholas Drive, allegedly gave police another name to avoid discovery of 13 previous license suspensions. He was charged also with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Officer: Jeffery Roberts. SATURDAY 2:51 a.m. DWI. A woman, 26, from the 800 block of Baxter Court, Delmar, was stopped and reportedly failed sobriety tests. She was charged with DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.10 percent and speeding. Officer: Christopher Hughes.

1:30 p.m. TRESPASS. A Gardner Terrace man reported an unknown man on his property. Officer: Stephen Demarest.

2 p.m. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF. Someone reportedly threw rocks at a Hartman Road home and smashed eight windows in the process. Officer: Peter Resnick.

2:40 p.m. HIT-AND-RUN. A Carolanne Drive man reported he was hit in the face by the driver's side mirror of a pickup truck while it was turning from Delaware Avenue onto Elm Avenue. Officer: Stephen Demarest.

5:51 p.m. AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT. A Westphal Drive woman reported being annoyed. Officer: Jeffrey Vunck.

9:45 p.m. ASSAULT. A male, 17, from Parker Road, Selkirk, allegedly assaulted an Albany man at Delaware Plaza. Officer: Charles Rudolph. SATURDAY 1:42 a.m. PETIT LARCENY. A teen reportedly stole a 12-pack of beer from an Ontario Street market.

4:28 a.m. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF. A Remsen Street woman reported a domestic dispute where a subject came to her home and banged on her door, then asked to use the phone. He allegedly pushed her against a door, took her phone and left, then later returned without the phone and broke a car window.

6:10 a.m. PETIT LARCENY. Someone reportedly took a Western Avenue woman's keys from her coat pocket while she was sleeping, and removed a purse containing $375 from her car.

10:30 a.m. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF. A Delmar woman claimed she was stopped at a red light at Columbia and Remsen streets and an unknown man walked up to her car and broke her radio antenna and car phone antenna. SATURDAY 1:39 a.m. HARASSMENT. A man, 29, from the 1900 block of Avenue B, Schenectady, allegedly pushed a man to the ground. Officer: Felice Trifaro.

1:50 a.m. ASSAULT. A man, 25, from the 1000 block of Watervliet-Shaker Road, allegedly punched a man in the face after a dispute at a bar over a dart game.

1:59 a.m. DWI. A man, 20, from Hay Path, Watervliet, allegedly became stuck in the mud in a field at a school and failed sobriety tests when police arrived. He also was charged with having a blood alcohol level greater than 0.10 percent. Officer: Gerald Shaw.

2:50 p.m. ROBBERY. A man, 25, from John Street, Cohoes, allegedly stole two cartons of cigarettes from a discount store in Latham worth $41.54 and told two security officers he had a gun as he left the store. He reportedly ran when they tried to arrest him, and also was charged with resisting arrest. Officer: Paul Van Alstyne.

3:29 p.m. CRIMINAL TRESPASSING. A man, 38, from the 800 block of River Street, Troy, was allegedly stopped for hitchhiking on Route 9 and Dunsbach Ferry Road, and found to be wanted on a Colonie warrant. Officer: Patrick Germaine.

5:35 p.m. ROBBERY. Two men reportedly entered an office area at a carwash on Albany-Shaker Road, and one displayed a knife. They allegedly demanded money from an attendant, who gave them an undetermined amount. The attendant was told to go into a maintenance area and the subjects fled.

6:32 p.m. PETIT LARCENY. A man, 19, from Eddy's Lane, Troy, was charged. Officer: Joseph Valiquette.

6:32 p.m. PETIT LARCENY. A woman, 29, from Eddy's Lane, allegedly took $111.87 worth of items while in the presence of her two children. She also was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Officer: Shelly Whitelaw.

DWI. A man, 40, from Rondack Drive, Albany, was reportedly involved in a property damage accident with a tree and charged also with having a blood alcohol level greater than 0.10 percent, failure to keep right, and operating without insurance. FRIDAY 11:32 p.m. DWI. A man, 34, from Sycamore Street, Albany, allegedly drove off the road and struck a curb and phone pole. He also was charged with having a blood alcohol level greater than 0.10 percent and improper lane use. Officer: Matthew Breig.

SATURDAY 6:04 p.m. LARCENY. A purse left in a shopping cart at a supermarket was missing when the woman later returned.

10:04 p.m HARASSMENT. A Lunis Avenue resident reported she was walking home and a man slapped her, pulled her hair and struck her across the neck with a snow shovel.

ABANDONED VEHICLE. A car reportedly left on an Old Red Mill Road property was found to have two different plates, one stolen and the other surrendered. The vehicle was impounded. Officer: Eric Jukes. SATURDAY 12:37 a.m. PROPERTY DESTRUCTION. A resident from East Old State Road reported an unknown subject struck a mailbox and continued toward Carman Road. Officer: Russell Tallman.

9:37 a.m. FAMILY TROUBLES. Someone called to report a woman in a Nissan was being chased in town by her daughter in a Volvo. One of the women was taken into custody. Officer: Thomas Funk.

4:46 p.m. ATTEMPTED FRAUD. An employee of a mall jewelry store reported a subject was attempting to fraudulently open an account. Officer: John Cordi.

11:49 p.m. HARASSMENT. A woman called from Carman Road to report she received a call from a known subject who threatened to beat her up. Officer: Russell Tallman. SATURDAY 12:40 p.m. HARASSMENT. A woman from Sagendorf Lane, Wynantskill, reported the continual harassment of her daughter by a male who has been making calls and threatening to harm her outside of school. The subject allegedly has a history of harassing girls and has served time in detention. Officer: Jeff Stehr.

DWI. A man, 38, from Hillview Avenue, Rensselaer, allegedly pulled out of a parking lot on Route 4 and Blooming Grove Drive directly in the path of a patrol car. He was found to be intoxicated. Officer: Chuck Seney. SATURDAY 8:14 p.m. AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT. A Troy man said a female phoned him at his workplace, made threats and said he had to come get his belongings. Officer: Jeff Leahey. SATURDAY 1:01 a.m. MULTIPLE CHARGES. A man, 31, from the 1000 block of Delamont Avenue, was charged with disorderly conduct for unreasonable noise and second-degree impersonation. He was released on bail. Officer: William Marhafer.

5:40 a.m. PROSTITUTION. A woman, 21, from the 1300 block of Crane Street, was charged with loitering for the purpose of prostitution. Officer: Investigator Lincoln Grimm.

8:03 a.m. DWI. A man, 19, from the 1200 block of State Street, also was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Officer: Daniel Diamond.

4:29 p.m. MULTIPLE CHARGES. A male, 16, from the 800 block of Grant Avenue, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officer: William Marks.

6:34 p.m. DRUG CHARGES. A man, 43, from the 400 block of Campbell Road Extension, Rotterdam, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Officer: Phillip Feldhaus.

8:05 p.m. DRUG CHARGES. A male, 16, from Bronx County, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and unlawful possession of marijuana. Officer: Michael Siler. SATURDAY 3:50 p.m. MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT. A man reportedly fractured his arm and was taken to Ellis Hospital by Malta Ambulance after his motorcycle crashed when he hit some gravel while driving out of Vischer Ferry firehouse. Officer: Trooper V.M. Vardine.

8:21 p.m. DISORDERLY YOUTHS. Police located and dispersed youths who were ighting in the parking lot of Clifton Country Mall. Officer: Trooper V.M. Vardine.

8:24 p.m. ACCIDENT. A woman, 46, from Ballston Lake, was charged with passing a red light after her car struck another at Route 146 and the Interstate 87 northbound ramp at Exit 9. Officer: Trooper Michael MacIntosh.

LARCENY. A man reported approximately $1,000 in rolled coins was missing from his residence. He reportedly last saw them in November. Officer: Trooper Michael MacIntosh.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE. A man was reportedly involved in a verbal dispute with his wife at Oakbrook Commons, Halfmoon. No criminal action was necessary. Officer: Trooper Scott Groezinger. SATURDAY SIX-CAR ACCIDENT. Four cars were reportedly stopped at the Crossgates Mall exit on the Northway when a fifth vehicle rear-ended one and caused a chain-reaction accident. A sixth car then could not stop and struck the last car in the chain. Several people were injured in the incident.

ROAD DEBRIS. Someone reported a ladder in the road near Exit 24 of the Northway. The ladder could not be found. Officer: Trooper Paul Young.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF. A Colonie man reported someone punctured three tires on his pickup while it was parked behind his home on Saturday. Officer: Trooper Patrick Thomas. SATURDAY 2:39 a.m. FAILURE TO APPEAR. A woman, 30, form the 1800 block of Ninth Avenue, Watervliet, was arrested at Watervliet police station on a warrant. Officer: James Molesky.

7:35 a.m. FAILURE TO APPEAR. A man, 20, from Brookview Avenue, was arrested on a warrant. Officer: Donald Backaus.

10:55 a.m. MARIJUANA POSSESSION. A 21-year-old homeless man was held on $5,000 bail. Officer: Richard Schoonmaker.

1:35 p.m. BURGLARY. Someone reportedly entered a Fourth Avenue apartment and took a pocketbook containing $11. One victim was reportedly sleeping on the couch at the time of the incident and another person was in a separate room. Officer: Ed Doughney.

4:34 p.m. MULTIPLE CHARGES. A man, 32, from the 500 block of Fifth Avenue, was held on bail after he was charged with violation a condition of sentence, uninspected vehicle, unlicensed operation, and having a revoked license. Officer: Robert Fitzgerald.

6:55 p.m. INVESTIGATION. A woman claimed she saw an 8- to 10-year-old male jumping on a ledge at the 112th Street Bridge. Fire departments also responded, but did not find the youth. Officer: Charles McDonald.

9:26 p.m. UNLICENSED OPERATION. A woman, 33, from Phelan Court, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, suspended registration, and unregistered vehicle.

9:43 p.m. MARIJUANA POSSESSION. A man, 35, from the 1300 block of First Avenue, Watervliet, also was charged with not having a seat belt. Officer: Maria Talarico.

9:52 p.m. TRESPASSING. A male, 17, from Blakely Court, allegedly trespassed on the grounds of a girls school and was turned over to his parents. Officer: Kimberley Hynes.
